Pro Tips
Use DOI for journal articles
DOI auto-fill is the most reliable way to cite journal articles. It fetches accurate metadata directly from CrossRef, including all authors, volume, issue, and pages.
Check auto-filled data
Always review auto-filled fields. Some websites have incomplete meta tags, and some Open Library records may have missing publisher or edition info.
Export as BibTeX for LaTeX users
If you use LaTeX, export your bibliography as BibTeX (.bib) and include it in your LaTeX project with \bibliography{filename}.
Use RIS for reference managers
Export as RIS to import your bibliography into Zotero, Mendeley, EndNote, or other reference management software.
Bookmark format-specific generators
Each format has its own page (e.g., /cite/apa-citation-generator). Bookmark the one you use most for quick access.
