Pro Tips
Use High error correction for QR codes with logos
When adding a logo overlay, the QR code needs more redundancy to remain scannable. FreeQRGen auto-sets error correction to High (H) when you upload a logo.
Choose the right barcode format
EAN-13 and UPC-A are for retail products. Code 128 supports any ASCII character. Code 39 is common in logistics. Pick the format that matches your industry standard.
Test your QR codes before printing
Use the Scanner tool to verify your generated QR code is readable. Scan it directly from the screen or download and scan the file.
Use SVG for print, PNG for digital
SVG files are vector-based and scale infinitely without quality loss — perfect for print materials. PNG is ideal for digital sharing, websites, and messaging.
Wi-Fi QR codes make sharing easy
Generate a Wi-Fi QR code with your network name and password. Guests can scan it with their phone camera to connect instantly — no typing required.
