Where is my expense data stored?
All your expense data is stored locally in your browser's localStorage. Nothing is sent to any server. Clearing your browser data will remove your expenses.
Can I export my expenses?
Yes. Click the CSV export button to download all your expenses as a CSV file that you can open in Excel, Google Sheets, or any spreadsheet app.
How do I set a monthly budget?
In the Monthly Budgets section, click the Set button next to any category, enter your budget amount, and press Enter or click Set. The Budget vs Actual section will show your progress.
What categories are available?
There are 8 categories: Food, Transport, Shopping, Bills, Entertainment, Health, Education, and Other. Each has a distinct icon and color for easy identification.
Can I use this on my phone?
Yes. The expense tracker is fully responsive and works on mobile devices. Your data persists across sessions as long as you use the same browser.
