How are the mazes generated?

Mazes are built with the Recursive Backtracker (DFS) algorithm, which carves perfect mazes — every cell is reachable and there is exactly one path between any two cells.

What do the size options mean?

Small is a 10×10 cell grid, Medium is 15×15, Large is 20×20, and Extra Large is 25×25. Each cell contains a passage or a wall; larger mazes have more cells and more complex paths.

How do I navigate the maze?

Click the maze canvas to focus it, then use the arrow keys (or WASD) to move the player dot from the green Start to the red End. The dot cannot pass through walls.

What does the Solve button do?

Solve runs a BFS from Start to End and animates the shortest solution path in blue. You can still navigate manually after seeing the solution.

Question 5

Can I print the maze?

Accepted Answer

Yes — click Print. The canvas is rendered to a print-friendly image. The solved path is hidden in print view unless you clicked Solve before printing.
