It's FreeResumePick's proprietary format. Use it to move between devices or create backups. For sharing with others, export as PDF or DOCX.

What happens if I edit on two devices without syncing?

Each device has its own version. Export from whichever device has the most recent changes, then import on the other device to sync.

The Challenge of Browser-Based Storage

FreeResumePick stores your resume in your browser's localStorage — private by design. This means your data doesn't automatically sync across devices. To edit on a different device, you export and import a .resumepick.json file.

Export Your Resume

In the builder, click the JSON Export button to download a .resumepick.json file. This file contains your complete resume data — all sections, templates, colors, and settings — in a portable format.

Import on Another Device

On the new device, open FreeResumePick and go to My Resumes. Click Import Resume and select your .resumepick.json file. Your resume loads with all data, template, and settings intact — ready to edit immediately.
